I fell in love with this soft molasses cookie recipe after finding it on a tea towel, if all places! It resembles a crinkle cookie more than a crispy, gingerbread cut-out cookie… and I'm not sad about it!
Apple butter is a naturally sweet, luxurious spread that’s so easy to make in your Instant Pot and versatile as well! Use it on anything from breakfast toast and baked goods to grilled cheese sandwiches and pizza!
After my recent breast cancer diagnosis, I was told by a cardiologist I need to change the way I eat… like, all of it! More fruits and veggies, less saturated fats, less animal products. Today was the first step on my plant-based eating journey, and it started with a protein-packed Beet & Banana Smoothie recipe.
A gooey layer full of natural apple flavor, autumn spices and most importantly… a thick, crumbly topping. It’s everything you want in a comforting and easy fall dessert.
Strawberry & beet make for an incredible combination! Sweet, earthy, and vibrantly colored... this smoothie is too wonderful to be reserved for only breakfast time. NO ONE can taste the beets once it's paired with bananas & berries (not my 4 picky boys, OR my equally discerning husband). The addition of spinach, flaxseed and oat milk only makes it creamy and even healthier... but it still tastes like dessert to me!
Ooey, gooey, chocolate chip bars, made wonderful by large semi-sweet chunks, browned butter and flaked sea salt. My favorite part is how quickly they come together; no butter softening required!
Imagine if holiday cranberry sauce were actually made with blueberries, and then baked into a tender muffin with a crunchy, sugar dome. Sweet, tangy, citrusy, herbal, peppery and aromatic. (And those were just the first few words I thought to describe them!) The spice and fruit combination is complimentary but unexpected and so lovely, in my opinion. Just perfection, with a cup of hot tea on a cool winter morning!
